The deputy to the National Assembly, Delsa Solórzano, urged the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, to fulfill her obligations to defend victims of human rights violations in Venezuela.
“It is urgent Mrs. Michelle Bachelet, the work of a human rights defender is to defend and protect citizens from the excesses of the States,” said Solórzano in a message released through her Twitter account.
The legislator for Encuentro Ciudadano affirmed that “human rights violations do NOT have an ideology.”
Furthermore, Solórzano asked Bachellet to act immediately to save the lives of political prisoners such as Colonel Johny Megias Laya, who among other ailments, has been urinating blood and for 8 days and Maduro’s regime has not allowed him to be supplied with a medication for this pathology.
“We will continue to raise our voice for every Venezuelan who needs it,” she ended.
