This Monday, the second vice president of the National Assembly, deputy Stalin González, reported that during the weekend 445 activities of Operation Libertad were carried out in the 23 states of the country and the Capital District, impacting 142 municipalities, this with the intention to reach more Venezuelans.
“We have shown that we are a vast majority who want change and are willing to work together to achieve the cessation of usurpation. All political organizations have joined forces, we all want the same. This phase of the struggle demands an organized effort and an effective unity to achieve the objective. We will continue to raise pressure nationally and internationally, we will move forward on our route and for that we must continue with the organized mobilization of the people in the streets.”
On the announcement of a dissident and irregular group to break the peace process that takes place in the neighboring country, Gonzalez said: “No one can celebrate that a group of irregular dissidents is trying to break the peace process in Colombia. From the National Assembly we raise a message to all our soldiers of the National Armed Forces. The duty of our army is to guard and protect our sovereignty and each of our borders. Therefore, they are responsible for taking care of the national territory and not letting any irregular groups have a presence in our country. ”
He announced that next Tuesday, during the delegated session of Parliament, the deputies will discuss the situation on the borders between Venezuela and Colombia, after the announcement of the dissenting and irregular guerrilla members. Similarly, an agreement will be approved from the AN to mediate the situation.
Likewise, the parliamentarian spoke about the progress achieved through the Oslo negotiation mechanism to the rescue Venezuela’s democracy. “Our goal is to end the suffering of Venezuelans, so we follow this route that includes negotiation as a mechanism for conflict resolution. Here the only obstacle to change is Nicolás Maduro. Who got up from the (negotiating) table was Maduro.”
He noted that the proposal to move forward with the negotiations until a viable solution for all Venezuelans remains on the table. “Those who rose from the table, regardless of what the Venezuelans are going through, was Nicolás Maduro’s regime. We have a clear plan and a route to achieve it. We left a proposal on the table and it is they who have to accept it. We maintain contact with Norway because we are committed to getting solutions to the problems of Venezuelans, all change goes through Maduro’s exit from power. ”
