The representatives of the political and democratic forces of Venezuela assure that Tarek William Saab, usurping attorney general of Nicolás Maduro’s regime, intends to deceive the International Criminal Court (ICC) that there is justice in Venezuela after his recent statements where he recognized the responsibility of officials of the Venezuelan’s state security forces in the murder of Juan Pablo Pernalete and the political leader and councilor for the Primero Justicia party, Fernando Albán.
This information was released this Monday, May 3rd, through a press conference held through the Zoom platform, in the Plaza de Los Palos Grandes, Chacao Municipality in Caracas, where the Deputies Delsa Solórzano, Amelia Belisario and Freddy Guevara participated as spokespersons.
Deputy Freddy Guevara, who initiated the press conference, asserted that Maduro’s regime does not have enough with murders, torture and pressure, but they also apply a process of re-victimization when the authorities themselves have generated the criminal association.
“This association to commit crimes is not only to cover each other, but also to create national and international ‘ollas’ (scams, hoaxes) that they have later dismantled and denied.”
Deputy Guevara assured that the dictatorship uses the power it has usurped to kill and cover up the murderers and to generate campaigns of disinformation, manipulation and lies that threaten justice and morality, thereby reflecting a psychopathic behavior.
“This is a group of individuals who are capable of saying one day that a young man was killed by his companions in a march with a bolt pistol and then nonchalantly stating, as happened last Saturday May 1st, as if they had not said anything before, that in fact Pernalete was killed by a National Guard as all of us had denounced.”
Guevara indicated that the recognition of the murders of Pernalete, Albán and Captain Acosta Arévalo is not justice, it is just a fraction of it and at the same time he wondered “what happens with Neomar Lander, with Cesita and with all the youngsters murdered in the year 2017 and with all the Venezuelans who have lost their lives.”
He emphasized that crimes, torture and violation of human rights should also be paid not only by those who executed the order, but by the ones who gave it, therefore it is essential to identify them.
“The police, military, judges and prosecutors who comply with the order to torture, disappear, kidnap and murder Venezuelans on the orders of the dictatorship, think about it, because you know that those who pay are ‘pendejos’ (assholes).”
Tarek William Saab what you revealed is not news
In this context, the deputy Amelia Belisario pointed out that they always knew that the political leader and Councilman Fernando Albán had been assassinated and this was repeatedly denounced, therefore, “Tarek William Saab what you revealed is not news.”
“The good news would have been that you fulfilled your function as a Prosecutor and told the world that the regime of which you are an accomplice and that you protect is responsible for the misfortune in which Venezuelans live.”
“The great news would have been for you to tell the whole world that this was not a wrongful death and you know it. It was not manslaughter because they arrested Fernando, kidnapped him, disappeared him, tortured him and finally executed him on October 8th, 2018. That was not enough for them, but they persecuted his family and all the leaders who denounced the murder, and they also raided his office, his home and now they are trying to say that it was a wrongful death.”
In Belisario’s opinion, the murder of the political leader is proof of how Maduro’s regime acts to violate the human rights of Venezuelans. She reiterated that they always knew that Fernando Albán was assassinated because he was a man of faith, upright as he was, he would never have made an attempt on his life, throwing himself into the void from that building.
“Fernando was willing to sacrifice everything to defend his principles, the regime assassinated him because they failed to subdue a man of integrity.”
She pointed out that it is not just about Albán but about many Venezuelans, families that today demand justice because their rights have been violated to this day.
“When they assassinated Fernando, Pernalete, Urbina and Lander, that day they tried to bend us, the regime thought that we were going to scare away and we would not request justice inside and outside the country, but here we are, standing firm and on behalf of all Venezuelans who continue to resist and with the hope that we will change this country.”
Tarek is trying to make the CPl believe that justice is being done in Venezuela
In this same vein, Deputy Delsa Solórzano took the stand and asserted that Tarek William Saab through his statements is trying to make the International Criminal Court believe falsely, that Venezuelans are being prosecuted for violations of human rights.
She reported that the CIP is about to make a decision as to whether or not to continue the investigation of the Court to open a trial to be able to punish those responsible for the crimes against humanity that Venezuelans have suffered or, on the contrary, the Court should consider that there is justice in Venezuela and that it should refer the case to the Venezuelan judges and prosecutors and the evidence of these acts on which the preliminary investigations are already open.
She reiterated that the regime intends to evade the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
She pointed out that in Venezuela there is no real possibility of doing justice because there is no judiciary independence and this is known to most of the international organizations. She also remarked “Tarek, you are a shame for the lawyers’ profession but also for all Venezuelans.”
