Deputies of the National Assembly lamented the murder of the young Venezuelan, Orlando Abreu in the city of Trujillo, Peru and demanded justice from the authorities.
The First Vice President of the National Assembly, Juan Pablo Guanipa, described the event as atrocious and remarked the commotion this caused in the country.
“The video of the moment in which Orlando Abreu was killed was circulated through social networks, there are no words to describe the shock, pain and powerlessness that he feels,” said the First Vice President of the AN, Juan Pablo Guanipa.
Legislator Carlos Valero demanded that the Peruvian Prosecutor’s Office investigate the incident and imprison the culprit.
“The full weight of the law must fall on the person responsible for the murder of the young Venezuelan, Orlando Abreu. There should be no impunity,” he said.
For his part, Deputy Ivlev Silva, recalled the xenophobic acts against Venezuelans in Peru, therefore, he asked the authorities of that country not only to punish the murderer of Orlando Abreu but also those citizens who have acted against of any foreign citizen.
The parliamentarians sent their condolences to Abreu’s relatives and reiterated the serious migration crisis to which Venezuelans have been forced through the world.
