Congresswoman Delsa Solórzano participated this Friday in the first anniversary of her party’s Citizen Encounter, and there affirmed that they have more than enough votes to ratify Juan Guaidó as president of the National Assembly and in charge of Venezuela.
“Many today believe in the change of the country. We have more than enough votes to ratify Juan Guaidó in the presidency of the National Assembly,” said Solórzano in a press conference accompanied by President Juan Guaidó.
Furthermore, the parliamentarian indicated that “President Juan Guaidó will be re-elected as president of the NA and we ratify our support for him because the democratic world recognizes his leadership.”
“When they call you ‘people’ they are emptying your rights and we are fighting to get them back. We are a democratic center party that advocates freedom,” she said.
Support for El Nacional
Congresswoman Solórzano offered her full support to El Nacional (daily), which has been one of the main objectives of repression by Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship against the media.
“The National is the patrimony of the nation. We grew up with that newspaper, is the one we want for the future of Venezuela,” she denounced.
The parliamentarian recalled that the siege that this media suffers today is the same as the one that the whole country is undergoing today.
“The siege of El Nacional is the siege against Venezuelan tradition,” concluded Congresswoman Solórzano.
