The deputy of the National Assembly and political secretary of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party Acción Democrática (AD), Williams Dávila Barrios, said this Sunday that the purpose of the misnamed Anti-Blockade Law: “seeks to impose a savage capitalism in the country, on the economic plane; and a totalitarianism, with all its letters, in political matters. It is a law for plunder”.
In the opinion of the legislator from Mérida State, the “adefesio jurídico” (juridical mad-house) promoted unconstitutionally – through Maduro’s regime National Constituent Assembly (ANC) – pursues to complete a savage and uncontrolled privatization in order to hand over the few productive assets that remain in the country to ‘bolivarian’ accomplices of the dictatorship. Furthermore, he warned that businesses like fuel supply and the mining arc will continue to be held by big mafias that will leave fortunes to a few.
Recalling that since 2016 Venezuela is in an economic emergency, according to the dictatorship, Davila questioned that they have used legal instruments that have only contributed to the destruction of the country and its institutions. “More cynicism there cannot be, all they are looking for is to bypass the sanctions that have an origin in the systematic violation of Human Rights by them”, he said.
“This Pillage Law by way of a transitory disposition eliminates the Constitution and regulates the absence of rights, without a doubt the dictator has made it a leitmotif to eliminate them forever in Venezuela. This is only possible in a totalitarian regime presided over by a criminal against humanity, as he has been identified and declared by the UN Verification Mission over our country,” he emphasized.
Dávila, regarding this issue, said that he will denounce these dark intentions in international instances and will place on record, as President of the International Commission of Parlasur (South American Parliament), as well as in diverse organisms, the intentions of Maduro’s regime to take over the wealth of the country without being accountable to Venezuelans.
“We make a call around the strength of Juan Guaidó and to organize ourselves in democratic resistance against the dictatorship. This dictatorship lacks the internal fire for rebellion, it only pursues looting, it does not have, along with its scorpions and traitors, the human strength that we have as a united opposition and therefore we will soon see the end of this stone age monstrosity of Nicolas Maduro”.
