The deputy and member of the Delegate Commission of the National Assembly, Williams Dávila, urged this Thursday the National Armed Forces to not continue supporting the dictatorship headed by Nicolás Maduro, asserting that it has become an armed crime gang.
During the debate on the defense of Parliament and democracy within the framework of the international acknowledgments forwarde to the President (E) of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, and the legitimate Parliament, Dávila also stressed that this Legislative Power “is the representation of popular sovereignty.”
“The Venezuelan case is not just any situation, it affects the democratic stability of the region. We are fighting for values and principles, to rebuild a Republic and hence the importance of the Armed Forces.”
After referring to the arduous task of maintaining Parliament against Maduro’s dictatorship, the spokesman for Accion Democratica emphasized that the democratic factors will remain united and that “sooner or later the dictatorship will fall, we will succeed.”
