The presidential commissioner for foreign relations, Julio Borges, said this Friday that granting a CLAP store to an Iranian company ratifies the importance of Saab in the whole framework between Maduro and Iran. He stressed that the Venezuelan regime is sustained by the support of Cuba, Iran and organized crime, and reiterated that Maduro using his influence to free Saab.
“The fact that the regime hands over the management of a CLAP store to the Iranians shows the importance of Alex Saab in the relationship between Maduro and Tehran. We must remember that Saab, together with its partner Alvaro Pulido, is the main operator of the ‘CLAP box’ import business and thanks to fraudulent contracts, managed to amass a fortune at the expense of the hunger of Venezuelans,” he said.
The international representative of the government of Juan Guaidó reiterated that Cuba, Iran and organized crime are the backbone of Maduro’s regime. “Maduro is supported by three pillars: Cuba, which is the actor that offers all the know-how in terms of repression and dictatorship; Iran, which now became the supplier of gasoline and gives support in terms of social and military control and organized crime which is the whole black economy. Saab was the operator with Iran and within organized crime,” he revealed.
He also emphasized that Maduro and his collaborators are moving all their influences to free Alex Saab, because the secrets he knows about Maduro and his family are a source of concern for the dictatorship. He stressed that from the moment the Colombian tycoon was arrested, a delegation of the regime travelled to Cape Verde to try to free him.
Finally, he said that Saab is Maduro’s and his family’s front man. He indicated that never before had a foreign citizen accumulated so much power in Venezuela. In his opinion, Maduro betrayed Venezuela’s sovereignty.
