The National Assembly (NA) ratified this Sunday Juan Guaidó as President of the Parliament, which means that he remains the President in charge of the Republic of Venezuela.
Among main and alternate deputies, 100 votes were counted in favor of Guaidó’s reelection, two new vice presidents and a new secretary.
During the session, which had a sufficient quorum, a new Board of Directors was elected:
First Vice President: Juan Pablo Guanipa.
Second Vice-presidency: Carlos Berrizbeitia
Secretary: Angelo Palmieri.
In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic and the Rules of Procedure of the unicameral body, this new Board of Directors will lead the annual period of ordinary sessions 2020-2021.
