The Presidential Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, Julio Borges, spoke with Uruguayan Foreign Minister Ernesto Talvi about the political and social crisis in which Venezuela finds itself.
Borges confirmed that the Uruguayan representative offered his full availability to help find a solution to the suffering of Venezuelans.
“We received his complete willingness to help find a solution to the crisis our country is experiencing and express solidarity in the face of the suffering of Venezuelans,” the Commissioner said on Friday through his personal Twitter account.
For his part, Foreign Minister Talvi mentioned that during the conversation between him and Borges, they talked about the formation of a new board for the National Electoral Council (CNE), which “will determine the legitimacy or not of the elections” in Venezuela.
On June 4th, spokesmen for Maduro’s regime, led by Felipe Mujica, went to the illegitimate TSJ and asked to appoint new authorities for the CNE because, supposedly, the NA does not have the necessary majority to do so.
However, this responsibility belongs only to the legitimate NA and its Electoral Nominations Committee.
