The Presidential Commissioner for Foreign Relations, Julio Borges, called on the international community to raise its voice in the face of the human rights violations that the criminal regimes of Cuba and Venezuela are committing against their citizens.
“In Cuba there are more than 5,000 detainees and dozens of injured in three days of historic protests, they block the internet to cover up what is undeniable: the desire for freedom of a people,” Mr. Borges highlighted in a message posted on his social network accounts.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Commissioner added that in Venezuela they illegally detain political leaders, persecute their relatives and criminalize human rights activists.
The senior official of the Legitimate Government assured that Diaz Canel and Nicolás Maduro have the joint objective of trying to extinguish the democratic struggle in both countries.
“The fight is for a continent without dictatorships and where respect for human rights prevails,” declared the highest diplomatic representative of the interim government.
