The Presidential Commissioner for Foreign Relations, Julio Borges, rejected that Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship intends to insist on the Cuban communal project that for years has been a resounding failure in Venezuela.
“This has been transformed into corruption, political control and the annihilation of democratic institutions,” Borges said in a message posted on his Twitter account.
The highest representative of Legitimate Government diplomacy recalled that in recent years the regime has unsuccessfully created more than two thousand communes, more than 7 laws have been approved and now they speak of communal cities and communal parliament.
“There is not one successful experience. The country rejects them because they do not seek citizen empowerment, they only pursue the deepening of a model that has led Venezuela into ruin,” he concluded.
