The Presidential Commissioner for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Julio Borges, confirmed this Sunday that he had alerted the international allies of the Venezuelan democratic movement about the coup to the National Assembly (NA) by Maduro’s regime.
“We have alerted all our allies: the United States, the European Union (EU) and the Lima Group are following very closely everything that is happening in Venezuela. The coup d’état against the parliament will have consequences, not only for Maduro, but also for those who lent themselves to this fraud against the NA,” Borges said through his personal Twitter account.
Borges added that this attention that Venezuela is receiving from the world will ratify the dictatorship that Nicolás Maduro represents in Venezuela.
“Maduro loses any kind of argument in front of the whole world. This is going to have consequences, this is going to mean more pressure, this is going to mean more pressure for the congressmen who lent themselves to this, we are going to see it,” he added.
Borges concluded that in spite of this outrage against the legitimate Venezuelan parliament, it means that we “continue to build the road to an outcome of political change in Venezuela.
