The presidential commissioner for the United Nations (UN), Miguel Pizarro, announced that has been made effective the transfer of funds to the International Red Cross to attend to the COVID-19 pandemic in Venezuela.
“This week was made effective the transfer of protected resources to the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC), within the framework of the agreement for the attention of the Emergency generated by the COVID-19 in Venezuela,” Pizarro informed through his Twitter account.
The presidential commissioner explained that “as in the case of the agreement with the Pan American Health Organization, these resources will be used to provide supplies for hospitals and health personnel who are on the front line fighting to care for victims of this pandemic.”
