The Presidential Commissioner for the United Nations, Miguel Pizarro, highlighted the arrival in Venezuela of the first shipment of food from the World Food Program that will serve thousands of Venezuelan children.
Pizarro celebrated the realization of one of the greatest efforts made by the legitimate National Assembly and the Presidency in Charge to support Venezuelan children, one of the most affected by the crisis.
“Our gratitude to the World Food Program and David Beasly for his work in Venezuela,” he expressed through his Twitter account.
The director of the United Nations World Food Program, David Beasly, reported on Thursday the arrival of the first shipment of supplies to start the school meals program for children and their families.
“On the move in Venezuela: the first delivery of PMA. Food has arrived in the country! At our logistics base, 42,000 packets of take-home rations for schoolchildren under 6 years of age have just been received. Distributions to families will be made soon,” Mr. Beasley announced through his Twitter account.
Hoy, finalmente se hace realidad uno de los mayores esfuerzos para atender a miles de niños venezolanos. Nuestro agradecimiento al @WFP y @WFPChief por su labor en Venezuela 🇻🇪. https://t.co/yFnY0YogD0
