This Thursday the Presidential Commissioner for the United Nations (UN), Miguel Pizarro, condemned the arrest of two journalists from NTN24 and two activists from NGO FundaRedes by FANB officials while they were covering the armed conflict in Apure State.
“Censorship, intimidation and attacks against press workers and human rights activists in Venezuela continue. Our full solidarity with them and their families,” Pizarro stated in a message on his Twitter account.
Likewise, the official of the Legitimate Government announced that he will denounce the case before the necessary international organisms in order to obtain the release of the detainees and to enforce the right to a free press in Venezuela.
