The Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights and Attention to Victims, Humberto Prado, celebrated the entry of Venezuela to the World Food Program.
“The goal is to help millions of Venezuelan children,” he said through his Twitter account.
The Commissioner assured that through food programs, the main thing is to end the food insecurity of more than 1.5 million Venezuelan children nationwide.
Last Monday, the President in Charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó held a meeting with the Executive Director of the World Food Program, David Beasley, and thanked their efforts to combat hunger in Venezuela.
WFP Executive Director David Beasley said that through this humanitarian operation, “WFP will provide nutritious school meals to children, especially in pre-primary and special education schools, and will invest in the rehabilitation of school canteens and the training of school personnel in food safety practices. “
