The Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights and Attention to Victims, Humberto Prado, condemned this Tuesday the impunity of the crimes committed by the dictatorship in Venezuela.
In this sense, Prado rejected that after “a year of the massacre committed against the Pemón people, in the southeast of the state of Bolivar, they (the perpetrators) are still unpunished.”
For this reason, he called on international organizations, especially the Inter-American and Universal Human Rights System, to reject and take action against this type of practice that Maduro’s regime has with military, political and civilian prisoners.
Similarly, the Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights and Attention to Victims recalled that all cases of human rights violations in the country have been brought before international bodies.
“All these cases are documented by international human rights organizations, as well as a report issued by the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, which is in Venezuela, and by the Executive Secretary of the IACHR, Paulo Abrao,” he ended.
