The Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights and Attention to Victims, Humberto Prado, assured this Friday that the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) maintains its visit to Venezuela despite the communiqué issued by Nicolás Maduro regime.
Prado said the IACHR delegation will be received by President Juan Guaidó in early February.
“We, as the interim government, are waiting for the visit of the IACHR. If the regime does not let them in, it is the Venezuelans who lose,” the commissioner said.
Prado indicated that Maduro’s regime will remain in evidence in terms of human rights violations if they do not let the IACHR in.
This Friday, the commissioner swore in the lawyers from Nueva Esparta, Zulia, Miranda and Caracas as human rights coordinators to work together with the IACHR.
