The Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights and Attention to Victims, Humberto Prado, denounced the kidnapping of Ms. Nubia Campos and José Neira, as well as the arbitrary detention of two escorts linked to the security of the Presidential Commissioner of the Center of Government of Venezuela, Leopoldo López.
Prado explained that on Saturday night, after López’ departure from Venezuela was confirmed, Sebin officials detained Nubia Campos, who was in charge of delivering meals to López during his stay at the Spanish Embassy.
He also said that Mr. José Neira, who had been a guard at the Spanish diplomatic headquarters for two years, was also kidnapped.
Prado explained that the arrest of the two escorts linked to Lopez, occurred at 9:50 pm Saturday night at the UD-4 in Caricuao.
The Commissioner stressed that these attacks by Maduro’s regime confirm the patterns mentioned in the reports issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
The Venezuelan representative recalled that High Commissioner Michelle Bachelet said in her report that: “she has documented aggressions against political opponents, demonstrators and journalists, without any security forces acting to prevent it”.
Prado informed that he is assembling the pertinent record of this new attack by the dictatorship.
