The Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights and Attention to Victims, Humberto Prado, invited all to follow up on the International Conference of Donors that will be held on May 26th and announced by President (E) Juan Guaidó.
Prado reported that the conference will be attended by the foreign ministers of more than 90 countries and representatives of multilateral banks. The Directors General of the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Norwegian Refugee Committee will also participate.
He also reported that the event will be attended by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, and the director general of the IMO, António Manuel de Carvalho. Both will participate as co-leaders of the Regional Platform for Interagency Coordination for Refugees and Migrants.
At the conference, the main receiving countries of Venezuelan migrants and refugees will share their experiences in facing this challenge.
“The Presidential Commission for Human Rights will be carrying out an exhaustive monitoring of this Conference, with the aim of reporting the results. In light of this, he said that the Conference represents a great tool for Venezuelan migrant families,” the Commissioner ended.
