The Presidential Commissioner for Asset Management, in view of the recent unfounded complaint made by the legal representatives of the CRA CONSORTIUM, LLC consortium, informs the country of the following:
I reject and condemn the false accusations made by CRA CONSORTIUM, and ratify that no service contract was ever signed with the aforementioned consortium. After the exhaustive evaluation and verification of the proposal of said company, it was concluded that the legal representatives of the firm, JORGE REYES and PEDRO ANTAR, had been subject to disciplinary measures for fraud, by the financial supervisory authority FINRA of the United States, according to procedure number 2016051493704. In addition, there have been indictments before the Government of the Republic of Ecuador, in addition to various events related to other types of crimes. All these are sufficient causes of disable and void the conclusion and signing of the corresponding contract and initiation act with the competent entities of the Republic.
2. Despite the fact that said company was not hired, nor authorized, to perform such service on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, it intended to represent the Venezuelan State by exercising reckless actions, without any delegated power, to identify the assets belonging to the Republic in the countries members of the agreement called Petrocaribe.
3. This information was duly sent to the office of the Special Attorney of the Republic, who in turn formally notified CRA Consortium on two occasions in March and April 2020 that it cease an desist to claim to illegally represent the Venezuelan State, including PDVSA and its decentralized entities, since it lacked any power to act on behalf of the Government of the Legitimate President.
I reiterate my personal commitment to fully comply with my high responsibilities and attributions with unbending adherence to the Constitution and the Laws. Likewise, I repudiate the infamous attacks that affect my dignity, my own honor and that of my family, reserving for myself the pertinent judicial actions.
