The First Lady of the Republic, Fabiana Rosales reiterated this Sunday, on the occasion of Grandparents’ Day, that the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro systematically violates the human and fundamental rights of the elderly.
“In Venezuela, hunger, the lack of access to medicines and public services increase the vulnerability of the elderly,” said Rosales de Guaidó in a message posted on her official Twitter account.
Likewise, the wife of the president in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, emphasized that “for 20 years the regime has exposed our grandparents to misery and repression, forcing them to survive in the midst of a complex humanitarian emergency with hunger pensions”.
Furthermore, she said that from the Legitimate Government “they are fighting for a country where they can grow old with dignity, together with their grandchildren, where their integrity is respected and they have access to food, medicine and basic services”.
“God bless them and give them strength in these dark moments,” concluded Rosales de Guaidó.
