The First Lady of the Republic, Fabiana Rosales, supported on Wednesday the members of the education sector who went out to protest against the dictatorship as part of the sustained protest called by President Juan Guaidó.
“Our teachers took to the streets once again in defense of quality, free education, enshrined in our Constitution, heeding the call of our president in charge, Juan Guaidó,” said Rosales through her official Twitter account.
Furthermore, the wife of President Guaidó said that “they are the cornerstone of society. They are those who form our children, who produce the nation professionals who will be the immediate future of the country, so the dictatorship wants to finish them.”
Rosales said that “like the health (care) sector that remains in resistance, once in democracy our nation will know how to reward their struggle. God bless our teachers and their strength for the reconstruction of our Venezuela.”
“How is the future of a nation formed if it does not have quality education, how do they instruct our children if they are not well nourished? That is why the regime for 20 years has destroyed the academy, and seeks to have an ideologized future, subject to the dictatorship,” concluded the First Lady.
