“I want to announce that today I have tested negative for Covid-19 and I have now recovered,” in this way the President (e) of Venezuela and the legitimate national Parliament, Juan Guaidó, informed the country and the world that he had defeated the coronavirus.

The announcement was made this Monday at night through his social network accounts where he also thanked all those who were worried about his health.

“Thank you God for having regained my health. During these days I felt well despite everything, of course with the discomfort and fatigue caused by the virus. I have been working and soon I will be communicating the next steps to achieve the solution that allows us to address the emergency and recover democracy.”

On Saturday, March 27th, Guaidó reported that he had remained for four days under quarantine after having symptoms for which he was tested for COVID-19 and which came out positive.

In his social media messages, he reiterated this Monday, the need and urgency of the vaccine in Venezuela to immunize the population without distinction. He said that the ‘damage’ that the pandemic has caused in the world, in Venezuela is much worse due to “the serious healthcare situation in addition to the selfishness, pride and irresponsibility of the dictatorship.”

“As a result of the humanitarian emergency, millions of Venezuelan families cannot receive the care they require. It is urgent to alleviate this situation with a responsible vaccination plan for which we are fighting.”

The interim President sent his condolences to the families of so many Venezuelans who have died from coronavirus in recent days, and he asked to ‘take seriously’ the virus.

“At this time of aggravated crisis our responsibility is to prevent.”
