The President-in-Charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, celebrated the commitment of Germany and the European Union to the Venezuelan democratic cause.
The national leader thanked the European Union for its firmness in the face of those responsible for crimes against humanity in Venezuela.
“We are firm and holding responsible the violators of rights and those who kidnap the vote of the Venezuelans,” he expressed through his Twitter account.
Guaidó reiterated that the fight is to achieve free and fair presidential and parliamentary elections in Venezuela.
The Council of the European Union announced on Monday additional sanctions against 19 officials of Nicolás Maduro’ dictatorship for their direct involvement in acts against democracy, the rule of law and human rights violations.
The German government also demanded an in-depth investigation into the crimes against humanity committed by Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
