According to the President of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, the Popular Consultation called by the National Assembly (NA) is a “powerful tool for citizen organization”.
This was pointed out at the swearing-in of the “Command for Freedom and Free Elections” held this Sunday morning in Vargas State, where several deputies of the Parliament were also present.
“Today more than ever La Guaira and Venezuela are raising their voices. The Popular Consultation is a powerful tool, it is a perfect mechanism to organize ourselves and continue the struggle to achieve change”.
He asked the members of the Campaign Command to go in search of every Venezuelan to add him to the struggle, but also to explain them that the December 6th call is a fraud because it does not count with the minimum electoral conditions, among which are: the designation of the electoral arbiter by the NA, electoral schedule, return of political parties, right to elect and be elected, and international observation.
He clarified that: “it is not about abstention” because 6D is not an election, it is about “non-participation”. He also commented that this fraud that the regime pretends to execute is niot recognized by the world since its convocation.
“It is correct not to participate in this fraud, just as it is correct to mobilize, protest, and accompany the teachers in their demands. We are not begging for anything, we are demanding free, fair and verifiable elections”.
There is a plan
The President of the Interim Government said during the swearing in of the “Command for Freedom and Free Elections” in Vargas State, that there is a roadmap to achieve the objectives set: freedom and the reconstruction of Venezuela.
“Yes, there is a plan of action. I ask you once again that we sustain this effort as a team and in Unity we will achieve it. Let’s put everything aside until we win, as we have done in other opportunities, this will not be the difference”.
Guaidó said he accepted and assumed the critics, but he asked not to criticize a mechanism for the exercise of the majority such as the Popular Consultation. Likewise, he indicated that this is not a “whim”.
Among the tasks he entrusted to the Guaira Campaign Command is the communication of each action taken by the democratic forces and the Presidency in charge to counteract the censorship imposed by the regime.
