The President in charge of the country, Juan Guaido thanked the national and international support received by the Proposal presented in Oslo by the government in charge of Venezuela this Thursday during the Act where sectors of democratic society expressed their support for this approach.
“I appreciate the support and representation of a broad, united and legitimate Venezuela. The focus of the debate today is the Proposal we took to the kingdom of Norway to solve the crisis in Venezuela. The European Union, more than 50 countries and Venezuelans endorse the proposal for a solution that we brought to Oslo. We will also take it to the General Assembly of the United Nations and to all arenas”.
He recalled that within the planned approach is the immediate entry of Humanitarian Aid to attend the Complex Humanitarian Emergency; guarantees for those who participate in the process of change; a call for free, fair and verifiable presidential elections; form a plural Transitional Government Council with equal presence of the different political forces and the National Armed Forces (FAN), among others.
The President of the National Assembly (AN) also said that the regime “fled for the first time in 20 years”, so he again challenged Nicolás Maduro to explain to Venezuela, why the approach presented by the interim government is not a way to end the suffering of Venezuelans.
“I don’t know if there is anyone who minds in the mirror room in Miraflores. Agree gentlemen of the regime. There was an agreement between them and they breached it in less than 24 hours. Cabello sabotaged the Agreement.”
Unity and cohesion
The President (e) of Venezuela asked for unity and cohesion to move forward in the fight for the country.
“Today I ask the political leadership, civil society, unions, youth and Venezuelans to maintain a unity of cause to attend to the emergency. Today we face the dictatorship and we have resisted and won in many areas. However, our victory will be when our family returns, when there is no hunger in the country.”
Guaidó informed, during his speech, that this weekend the street activities will continue throughout the country to keep advancing in the fight to achieve victory, of which he said “we are very close”.
