The President (e) of Venezuela and of the National Assembly, Juan Guaidó, asked the representatives of the political parties in the diaspora to prepare for the popular consultation, to ratify the Unitary Pact and to reject the fraud of December 6th.
In a meeting he held on Tuesday with more than 400 Venezuelan militants from the political organizations that make up the democratic force, he reminded everyone that at this moment Unity is “fundamental” for a political route, roughly presented on Monday to Venezuelans to achieve freedom and free, fair and verifiable elections.
“An election is not an end in itself, but a democratic mechanism. Within the strategy that we designed for example, there is the proposal of the Popular Consultation, but this is not enough, since we need the struggle to be accompanied by internal pressure, as well as international pressure”.
The President of the Interim Government said that among the achievements of the internal pressure are for example, the construction of a majority, the massive mobilizations throughout the country, taking Parliament away from the regime in 2015, among other things.
He also clarified that as far as it has come and advanced “it has not been a gift from anyone,” but the product of the struggle and sacrifice of millions of Venezuelans.
“We are determined to fight until we achieve freedom. Of course there is a strategy and that is why I ask you for a lot of support in terms of communication and international pressure that you as a diaspora can exert all over the world”.
Overseas political parties representatives celebrated, ratified and expressed support for the Unity Pact presented by President (e) Guaidó, which was supported by 37 political organizations, and reviewed with 105 civil organizations.
They put themselves at the order of the interim government and the National Assembly to participate and help from abroad to forward the political route to be carried out in the coming days.
