The President (E) of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, classified Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship as “cynical” after publishing a statement rejecting the assault on the United States Congress.

The national president expressed that the regime has no limits to commit crimes against humanity, attack parliamentarians and militarize the seat of the legislative power.

“They kidnap deputies, constantly besiege parliament, assault parliamentarians, snatch powers from the assembly, militarize the headquarters, are accused of crimes against humanity and issue a statement,” he said.

On Wednesday night, the President-in-Charge lamented the violent events that occurred in the US Capitol and recalled that the basis of democracy is its independent institutions.

Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship has been involved in violating democratic institutions in Venezuela in order to control public powers and maintain the usurpation of power through violence, persecution and forced disappearances.
