The President (E) of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, assured that the UN report makes evident the nature of Nicolas Maduro’s regime, directly linked to crimes against humanity.
“The UN report does not leave any doubt about the characterization of the regime we are facing and against which we must act together to overcome,” he assured through his Twitter account.
The national leader manifested that the conclusion of the report is terrifying and exposes one of the main objectives of the regime: to annihilate the democratic alternative in Venezuela.
“The one who wants to continue justifying or denying the crimes against humanity will be an accomplice of the dictatorship”, he said.
The Head of State added that the report marked a before and after in the struggle for the Venezuelan democratic cause and reflected the years of denunciation, protests and demands faced by the victims of these crimes and their relatives.
“It is the reflection that we have fought for justice and we will continue to do so,” he said.
On September 16th, the independent international Mission of the UN for the determination and verification of the denunciations of the facts of human rights violations occurring in Venezuela presented its conclusions on the extrajudicial executions, forced disappearances, arbitrary detentions and torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatments, committed in the country since 2014.
El informe ONU no deja ninguna duda de la caracterización del régimen al que estamos enfrentando y contra el cual debemos actuar unidos para vencer.
