President (e) Juan Guaidó sympathized with the Venezuelan athletes classified to the 2019 Panamerican Games in Lima. They have suffered from the abandonment of the regime in recent years, all of which has reduced their performance and quality of life.
“It is unfortunate that our athletes have to go through these types of episodes because of mediocrity and indolence”, said the president in reference to swimmer Paola Pérez who suffered an episode of hypothermia during a competition because she was not provided with an adequate bathing suit during a meet.
“Venezuelan athletes who have legislative functions in the national parliament should raise their voices for their peers”, said the president.
