The President in charge of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, urged the officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces of Venezuela (FANB) to dissociate themselves from Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship and work for the recovery of democracy in the country.
“It is time for our Armed Forces to disassociate themselves from the complacent statements of those who serve more as escorts for a drug trafficker than as servants of the country,” President (E) Guaidó said in a message on his official Twitter account.
For his part, the head of state stressed that no regime lackey has the power to determine who comes to power.
“General Padrino López: it is not you who decides who comes to power, it is the people and the constitution,” he said.
