“Today more than ever I ratify what we have sustained in all these years of struggle: we are forced to get rid of an inefficient, corrupt dictatorship with links to drug trafficking,” said political leader Leopoldo López.
López assured that democratic nations are aware that the narco-terrorist regime of Nicolás Maduro does not represent hard-working, honest, democratic Venezuelans.
López said it was intolerable that while “a criminal leadership is getting rich by abusing its power,” Venezuelans are suffering the consequences of the worst crisis in history, worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It is very difficult to say, but we must speak the truth to the Venezuelans, in no other country can a situation be as serious as in Venezuela. The criminal dictatorship has destroyed the health system, leaving our people in conditions of extreme vulnerability,” he said.
The leader reiterated that Maduro and his usurping elite, identified as drug traffickers and wanted by international justice, are the only ones guilty of the hardships the country is experiencing due to the shortage of medicines, supplies, food, and public services.
“This dictatorship of criminals, which has plunged us into this crisis without caring about the lives of millions of Venezuelans, cannot provide us with any solution. No financial institution will provide the resources needed while a corrupt dictatorship is in power,” he said.
López recognized Juan Guaidó’s work as the only legitimate President of Venezuela in the face of the humanitarian crisis, pointing out that his management to obtain financial resources abroad “will be directly administered by international organizations.”
Hoy más que nunca ratifico lo que hemos sostenido en todos estos años de lucha: estamos obligados a salir de una dictadura ineficiente, corrupta y con vínculos con el Narcotráfico
