The Presidential Commissioner for the Center of Government, Leopoldo López, reiterated that the legitimate government of President (E) Juan Guaidó continues to fight for free elections that will save the country from the humanitarian crisis in which it finds itself due to Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
“We continue to promote that in Venezuela free, fair and verifiable presidential elections can be held in order to take our people out of the deep humanitarian crisis in which they are immersed and so that millions of Venezuelans can be reunited with their families in our country,” he said this Wednesday through his personal Twitter account.
The political leader also thanked the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, for her support in the Venezuelan democratic struggle and for being in favor of human rights, freedom and democracy in Venezuela.
He also thanked Spain for hosting more than 100,000 Venezuelans who fled Maduro’s dictatorship.
