The President of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, confirmed the transfer of money recovered by the Legitimate Government to the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) so that the Covid-19 emergency in Venezuela could be attended to.
Guaidó assured that these resources will be of great help to the health sector to fight the coronavirus pandemic
“We are going to bring help to our people through the tools we have,” the president added this Thursday through his personal Twitter account.
The Special Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Miguel Pizarro, informed earlier that these resources will be destined to the provision of supplies for hospitals and health personnel who are on the front line fighting to attend to victims of this pandemic.
The transfer of funds to the Red Cross is one of the achievements of the Legitimate Government to follow the recovery and protection of the nation’s assets abroad.
