The Commissioner for the United Nations, Miguel Pizarro, thanked Slovakia for recognizing Juan Guaidó as the President-in-Charge of the Republic of Venezuela.
“We are grateful to the Republic of Slovakia for having joined the group of countries that recognize the presidency in charge of Juan Guaidó,” he said on Wednesday through his personal Twitter account.
The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovakia, Ivan Korcok, announced on Wednesday that the European country recognized Guaidó as the only legitimate authority that represents and defends the interests of all Venezuelans.
With Slovakia’s announcement, 24 countries in Europe now support the democratic struggle of the legitimate government against Nicolas Maduro’s regime.
