The President (E) of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, celebrated that the Presidential Commissioner for the Center of Government, Leopoldo López, managed to speak to the world freely, despite being in exile.
“After almost 7 years kidnapped by the dictatorship, Leopoldo Lopez was able to speak freely, although in forced exile,” he said on Tuesday through his personal Twitter account.
He also recalled that the sacrifice of the exiles, political prisoners and martyrs who fought for Venezuela, will bear fruit and become democracy and freedom for the nation.
“That sacrifice will become the embrace of the future,” he concluded.
This Tuesday, Leopoldo Lopez gave a press conference from Madrid, Spain, to make statements about his departure from the country and to reiterate that he will redouble his efforts for the Venezuelan democratic cause.
Tras casi 7 años secuestrado por la dictadura, Leopoldo López pudo hablar libremente, aunque en exilio forzoso.
En el sacrificio de los exilados, presos políticos y mártires se sustenta la lucha por la democracia y libertad.
