The president (e) of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, reiterated the need for all Venezuelans to unite in one voice on November 16th to support the sectors that remain in protest in the country.
“You have to attack the cause of the crisis and part of that is to recover the rule of law. This is only going to get worse as long as this catastrophic situation that Venezuela is experiencing continues,” the president said.
Guaidó said Venezuelans are looking for a short-term solution, so he recalled that “to accomplish this objective we have presented in Parliament to hold really free presidential elections.”
In this regard, the Head of State reiterated “the call is to protest all united on November 16th because we cannot leave teachers and nurses alone. We will continue to build capacities and that is why we call we all together raise as a single voice on November 16th”, he said.
“Today we have the international support, the financial pressure, the diplomatic pressure, the pressure on the streets, we see the nurses, teachers, transporters who do not give up, we see Zulia. We have to maintain the pressure to achieve change”, he said.
Likewise, Guaidó remarked that “the regime is defeated and alone, now it is our duty to win, diplomatic and political victories must translate to a victory of normalcy and the return of peace in Venezuela”, he concluded.
