The President of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, regretted the collapse of one of the roofs of the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), specifically in the Faculty of Humanities and Education. The president insisted that this level of decay is due to the negligence of Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
“This is how the indolence of the dictatorship destroys the UCV, a World Heritage Site. To burn books or not to assign a fair budget to a university is to try to destroy free thought,” Guaidó said Wednesday through his personal Twitter account.
Likewise, the President assured that, through the Legitimate Government and with the exit of Maduro’s regime, the UCV and the rest of the country will be restored.
“Let’s go together and raise that roof. Let’s go together to raise Venezuela,” he ended.
This Wednesday, one of the roofed connecting corridors the UCV collapsed. The collapse of the structure was due to the lack of maintenance because the state has not provided the necessary budget to attend to the university’s facilities.
Vamos juntos a levantar a Venezuela. https://t.co/PMAoupJGwb
