The President of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, thanked this Thursday the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and First Secretary of State of the United Kingdom, Dominic Raab, for his words of solidarity with the attack of Nicolás Maduro’s regime on the Venezuelan National Assembly.
“International recognition, which is ratified and strengthened, is and will be fundamental to recovering democracy in Venezuela, having really free elections and attending to the emergency,” said Guaidó through his personal Twitter account.
For his part, Raab lamented the “scenes of violence and intimidation” against the Venezuelan parliament.
“It must be stopped. The UK is steadfast in its support for Juan Guaidó and the people who are working with him to bring Venezuela to democratic elections and to get out of the crisis involving its people,” the Briton said on his Twitter account.
