The President in charge of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, spoke about the latest events in the country and assured that there are patriotic military men willing to fight for Venezuela’s freedom.
“Of course there are patriotic military men willing to fight for Venezuela, but it is clear that what happened in Vargas is a new pot (ruse) of the dictatorship,” the head of state said in a message posted on his official Twitter account.
The president also accused Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship of being responsible for the widespread violence in the country, causing the death of hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans and the forced migration of millions.
“While they are ignoring the massacre in Guanare and the confrontation in Petare, Macuto is going on. They seek to confuse and plant evidence,” he said.
Similarly, President Guaidó referred to the events in Macuto.
“Invasion by the sea and instead of the High Command, the Navy, the FAES comes out? Whose body is on display and who killed him? They arrive in Macuto, from Colombia? why were the local residents warned that a drill was coming?” he asked.
Guaidó said that “the regime may lie, but it will never hide this reality. Maduro is not in control of the country, and as long as he continues to usurp Miraflores, there will only be more chaos.”
“A National Emergency Government is urgently needed to stabilize Venezuela and get out of this disaster,” he concluded.
