The President (e) of Venezuela and of the National Assembly, Juan Guaidó, met with the members of the Advisory Committee of the Soy Venezuela alliance in order to articulate efforts for the establishment of the 2020 Agenda.
“We have had good meetings with more than nine sectors to strengthen and organize ourselves in order to achieve the goal for 2020”.
Teresa Albanes and representatives of Soy Venezuela expressed their support for Juan Guaidó, whom they recognized as the President in charge of the country. She said that from that organization accompaniment in the fulfillment of the art. 233 of the CRBV that was invoked to fill the power void that began on January 10th of this year.
“We -Somos Venezuela- have accompanied you, President, in the fulfillment of your constitutional functions, as well as the temporary fulfillment of the Presidency in charge of the Republic until the objectives framed in the Statute that governs the Transition to Democracy are met”.
For his part, Sary Levy expressed the need for the country to “address a joint vision to achieve the initial objective.”
Levy also highlighted the importance of including all sectors in a public and political discussion to shape a work agenda that respects the principles of the Statute that governs the Transition to Democracy and citizen accompaniment.
Change depends on everyone
Guaidó confirmed that “the key to achieving the objectives is citizen accompaniment, social pressure and international support,” reflected in organization and mechanisms such as TIAR and the backing of more than 60 countries.
Those present agreed with Juan Guaidó’s initiatives, and proposed to intensify the mechanisms to achieve the end of usurpation.
Pekins Roche asked the president to continue the struggle of January 2019, in which he “challenged” the usurper regime, a fact that, in his opinion, promotes social accompaniment and international support.
Guaidó concluded by reaffirming that change depends on everyone and the articulation of all sectors in the “Agenda for the Struggle 2020”.
