The President in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, extended his solidarity to Álvaro Uribe Velez, former president of Colombia and current senator.
“As President-in-Charge of Venezuela and of the National Assembly, I respect the institutions of the Colombian State. We thank former President Alvaro Uribe for his great support for Venezuela,” he said.
The national leader expressed his desire that justice and truth should prevail in Colombia.
The Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, Julio Borges, also echoed on his social networks to offer support to the former Colombian president and his family.
“We thank him and recognize his unrestricted commitment to the struggle of the Venezuelan people,” he said.
Borges also highlighted his work in defense of democracy in the region.
