Venezuelan President Juan Guaidó supported the initiative of Venezuelan diplomat Diego Arria, which is based on collecting signatures to expel Nicolas Maduro’s regime from the UN Human Rights Council.
The president assured that Maduro’s dictatorship occupies a place in the international organization “that does not correspond to him” and expressed that Venezuela must recover the spaces for democracy.
The Head of State invited Venezuelans to sign the petition and support the initiative.
“Maduro, the usurper, unlike the OAS, maintains a position at the UN that does not correspond to him, an organization where he is investigated for violating human rights. We must regain that space for democracy. I sign and support this initiative led by Diego Arria. Let’s all support it,” he said through his Twitter account.
