The Interim President of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, announced a large mobilization in the city of Caracas in the coming days.
“With the tools we have we will defeat the dictatorship,” he assured the Venezuelan diaspora at the rally in Miami.
Guaidó defied the ban on leaving the country issued by authorities loyal to Maduro, and began a journey that took him to Colombia, Europe, Canada and Florida in search of support to revitalize his power struggle with the president.
“In the next few days, despite the risk, we will be entering Venezuela,” said Guaidó, amidst loud applause at an event at the Miami airport convention center.
The president assured that upon returning to Venezuela, he will announce the next actions to be taken in order to continue pressing for a prompt and democratic dismissal of Maduro’s dictatorship.
