Venezuelan President Juan Guaidó thanked President Donald Trump and the American people for their commitment to Venezuela’s freedom.
The President assured his American counterpart that the country is united in a single direction.
“I take with me the commitment and support of the United States to our struggle to achieve the Freedom of Venezuela,” he said through his Twitter account.
“On behalf of millions of Venezuelans who continue to stand and fight: Thank you President. Thank you, people of the United States,” he said.
Guaidó was guest of honor in Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, becoming the first president in Venezuelan history to be part of a U.S. president’s annual address, closing his international tour with a reiteration of efforts against Maduro’s dictatorship.
