The First Lady of Venezuela, Fabiana Rosales, repudiated that while the dictatorship continues with its farce, the most vulnerable due to the humanitarian emergency continue to die.
“Six children, kidney patients, died at the J.M. de los Ríos Hospital, becaused they lacked treatment and were waiting for a transplant,” lamented Rosales. The J.M. de los Ríos Hospital is the main children’s hospital in the country.
The head of the Office of the First Lady, indicated, “they continue to prolong the suffering of Venezuelans and meanwhile leave a trail of pain in families that are separated by death or are forced to take refuge in other countries to escape poverty and the apathy represented by a regime that only cares about power.”
That’s why she affirmed that it is urgent to attend to Venezuelans and guarantee their Human and Constitutional Right to healthcare with humanitarian assistance programs, such as the Madre María Plan, which has managed to serve part of the population at risk of life, but this is not enough.
Also, she asserted that the magnitude of the humanitarian catastrophe generated by the dictatorship is such that it is urgent to open a humanitarian channel and with the help of the international community be able to assist Venezuelans at risk of death.
“Enough of these deaths, enough of this pain,” she concluded.
