Nicolás Maduro’s regime has abandoned Venezuela bringing the country to alarming state compounded by the humanitarian crisis, the shortage of services and the serious pollution caused by sewage and garbage that has caused the proliferation of diseases.
In Aragua State, the inhabitants of La Esmeralda have denounced that the collapse of the sewage system worsens day by day because the drainage system receives no maintenance and no repairs.
“When drinking water reaches us, the sewage and drainage overflows. If it rains, the streets are flooded with sewage,” said a resident of the sector.
Last October, the community experienced many unfortunate situations after several floods and the losses they generated. They point out that from this moment on, regime officials have ignored the situation, so residents have had to try to alleviate the problem with their own resources.
“Since October 13th of last year, we have had no support. What we are trying to do is remove the leaves and garbage to unclog the drains,” said a neighbor.
The conditions observed in this area of the city are repeated in other states all over the country due to the abandonment in which the dictatorship has subjected Venezuelans.
