Elderly patients at an Integral Diagnostic Center (CDI) in Montalbán, western Caracas, reported that they are being kept in overcrowded health facilities.
The patients explained that conditions there are precarious. They sleep in chairs, they are not given any kind of treatment or pills. Even the elderly, who are part of the high-risk population, are locked up with the rest of the crowd and not given any special attention.
“Get us out of here! We are in a precarious situation,” implored one of the Venezuelans inside one of the rooms which he shared with four people.
One of the patients said that the reason they have him in these conditions is because CDI belongs to the Venezuelan coordination managed by Nicolas Maduro’s regime.
“Please help us, because from here we are going to get out dead,” insisted another patient.
Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship has no control over the Covid-19 pandemic. The regime has been manipulating the number of cases, harassing medical personnel who denounce the precarious conditions of the hospitals and politicizing the disease in order to control the Venezuelan population.
